Join the mission trip to the village of Shandia, Ecuador. Shandia was the mission station of Jim Elliot and his team of missionaries who were killed by the Huaorani people--the same indigenous people that today are preaching the Gospel in the rainforests of Ecuador.
Missions is a LIFESTYLE where God’s mandate becomes our PRIORITY.
In Matthew 28:19, Jesus commands us, “Therefore go and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit” (NIV). One thing important to God, then, is the expansion of His Kingdom through a process called discipleship.
Jesus also told His disciples, “But you will receive power when the Holy Spirit comes on you; and you will be my witnesses in Jerusalem, and in all Judea and Samaria, and to the ends of the earth” (Acts 1:8, NIV). Thus, the expansion of God’s Kingdom through discipleship takes place in our neighborhoods, in our state, in our country, and in our world.
So what does this look like? We make God’s great commission our LIFESTYLE and our daily PRIORITY. That is, in our daily lives – as we are going – God’s commission transforms into one our largest priorities. This is Missions 365.
