MISSIONS 365 STRATEGY

At Mission Hill Church, we have a three-part strategy in our approach to missions that we want you to be a part of!

DISCOVER, EXPERIENCE, LIVE

The first part of our missions strategy is to Discover the Sweet Spot (diagram below). That is, the intersection of (1) God’s gifting and mandate on your life, (2) the uniqueness of the local church, and (3) the needs of our world.

Once you have Discovered the said triadic intersection, you can begin to Experience the intersection of God’s gifting and mandate on your life, and the needs of our world. That is, once you have Discovered the Sweet Spot, you can begin to serve in ways that align with God’s calling for your life.

Finally, once you have Discovered the Sweet Spot, and have started to Experience serving in intentional avenues, you can Live in a life on mission, specifically at the intersection of God’s gifting and mandate on your life, and the Uniqueness of the Local Church.

At Mission Hill Church, there are many ways you can get plugged-in both locally and even internationally. Truly, you too can Live a LIFESTYLE where God’s mandate becomes your biggest PRIORITY.

JERUSALEM, JUMARIA, ENDS OF THE EARTH

After you understand the intersection of God’s gifting and mandate on your life, the uniqueness of the local church, and the needs of our world, you can start to map out just where God’s calling is. This is the second part of our missions strategy.

Jesus told His disciples, “you will be my witnesses in Jerusalem, and in all Judea and Samaria, and to the ends of the earth” (Acts 1:8, NIV). Thus, the expansion of God’s Kingdom through discipleship takes place in our neighborhoods, in our state, in our country, and in our world. At Mission Hill Church, we summarize these areas in 3 parts: (1) Jerusalem represents our neighborhoods, (2) Jumaria represents our state and country, and (3) Ends of the Earth is anywhere else in the world outside of our country.

Ask yourself today where in your Jerusalem, Jumaria, or the Ends of the Earth you can see yourself serving, and then explore ways you can get involved. It could be a food drive, a social justice campaign, or even a water project overseas. Either way, desperately seek the will and call of God, and respond accordingly in obedience.
